The SPAX 12×280mm Delta Seal Countersunk PartThread screw is a German-made timber construction screw built for long structural fixings through built-up beams, sleepers and heavy framing. The partial-thread design lets the screw draw two timbers tightly together as the unthreaded shank pulls the join closed. SPAX's 4CUT self-drilling point and ground thread serrations cut cleanly into timber and reduce splitting, even near board edges, while the SPAX T-STAR plus T-50 drive resists cam-out and gives full torque transfer when driving long fixings. Milling ribs under the countersunk head let it sit flush in timber and stop neatly on metal. The WIROX Delta Seal coating gives high corrosion resistance for exterior structural timber work, tested well beyond standard zinc plating. We recommend pre-drilling in dense hardwoods.
