Our activated pelletized carbon is treated with an anti-freeze agent and can be used in cold weather. You can easily remove the mushroom cap by removing half of the three screws and then lifting the cap. Place the bag inside and make sure the mesh bag inside the carbon is evenly secured and no odor escapes through the sides of the vent stack. Just replace the top cap and you're done.
