Each piece is collaboratively designed through Transcend’s bespoke process, transforming existing materials into a modern heirloom that can be worn for years to come.

These jackets blend thoughtful tailoring with artistic patchwork, balancing everyday functionality with expressive design. Depending on the selected materials, projects may incorporate vintage saris, reclaimed denim, embroidered textiles, plaid shirting, borders, trims, or other sentimental fabrics. Every jacket is designed to highlight the character, texture, and history already embedded in the materials.

Styles may range from lightweight shirt jackets to structured outerwear silhouettes and can include reversible construction, patchwork detailing, mixed textiles, custom pockets, contrast panels, appliqué work, or heritage textile accents.

Projects like these keep our production studio busy and allow us to hire talented seamstresses from refugee and immigrant backgrounds who typically do not have access to fashion industry jobs.
