Engineered and tuned exclusively for AIS frequencies (161.975 & 162.025 MHz), the 5396-AIS ensures optimal performance for AIS Class A and Class B systems. Its high-efficiency design provides dependable reception of nearby vessel transmissions, enhancing situational awareness and on-the-water safety.
Built with Shakespeare’s renowned Galaxy fiberglass construction, the Little Giant features a durable white fiberglass radome that resists UV exposure, vibration, and harsh marine conditions. Compact yet rugged, it is designed for long service life in both freshwater and saltwater environments.
The 5396-AIS is compatible with standard marine antenna mounts (sold separately) and is an excellent choice as a dedicated AIS antenna or in installations where separating AIS and VHF antennas is recommended for optimal performance.
