1997 was a great year for Nike footwear design in general, especially Nike ACG – this era of footwear from 1996 to 2003 is a time that really excites us. ACG were pumping out tonnes of different styles over this period from high tech, ahead of the time technical trail running shoes to more toned down, traditional leather walking boots like Air Chugach pictured. The Chugach, which released in a handful of different colourways, features a rubber Swoosh, ACG lungs logo, waxed leather upper and a loop & hook closure system. This pair has been reCONSTRUCTED by Samuel Falzone, with a black leather trim, top stitch storm welt, thick sculpted black midsole and a Vibram outsole.
