BEAUTIFUL and so charming is this vintage Peggy Nesbit cloth and bisque doll of the young Princess Elizabeth!

This lovely doll wears a pretty smocked dress with large back bow and puffed sleeves from Liberty's of London printed floral fabric. She wears a replica hat made of beautifully woven straw by the world famous hat maker's K.R. Snoxell and Sons of Luton England, a company that specialises in the manufacture of straw boaters, as worn by Eton scholars. The sweet little hat is adorned with pretty flowers. She stands about 15 inches high. The wig was specially made to represent the hairstyle of the young Princess.

This doll was specifically made using a portrait of the young Princess Elizabeth when she was 9 years old. The doll was designed by the famous and beloved British doll maker Peggy Nesbit. This beautiful doll was released in 1978 and was limited to 500 world wide. This one is numbered 396 out of 500. The cost was 125.00 when released-that was a fair amount of money back 46 years ago!
