TATAMIST 與普通的tatami 大不同，它採用100%日本產的燈心草，以”目積織”的傳統精細織法，讓織紋更緊密幼細，不容易刮破和積塵。底部是防滑的不織布，旁邊則裹上用綿製成的厚布，耐磨又耐看。此外，TATAMIST 使用“白秋染め”方法來染色，所需時間比傳統工序來得長，但不容易因日曬而色落，十分耐用。
不少客人向我們訂製，甚至跟他們的設計師商量好尺寸後，互相配合製造地台，效果恰到好處，為地台或窗台創造個人的榻榻米空間。TATAMIST 一共有7種顏色選擇，基本尺寸為3個，而且可以自由訂造尺寸。
