Overview
The Nittan Evolution EV‑PYSVAD is a non‑addressed Visual Alarm Device (VAD) beacon base designed specifically to be driven by the Nittan EV‑PYS optical detector with integral sounder. It uses 12 high‑power white LEDs to provide the light output required for EN54‑23 Visual Alarm Device Category C (ceiling) coverage.

• Designed for use with the Nittan EV‑PYS detector — the detector drives the beacon so the combined assembly uses a single loop address, simplifying installation and addressing on Evolution analogue addressable systems.
• 12 high‑power white LEDs deliver EN54‑23 Category C ceiling coverage (rating C 3.0 x 5.0 / 60 m³).
• Low quiescent current (specified as 0 µA) and low alarm current (~8.5 mA) on typical Evolution loop supplies.
• Operating voltage: 20–38 V DC (compatible with Evolution loop supply range).

Use cases
Ideal for commercial and domestic installations requiring visual notification (e.g. noisy environments, access for hard‑of‑hearing users, open plan spaces). Suitable for new installations and as a backward‑compatible replacement for earlier Evolution VAD bases.

Compliance & safety
Meets the performance requirements of EN54‑23:2010 for Category C (ceiling) coverage. Installers must follow the manufacturer’s datasheet and local regulations.
